Quick Start window

Bu sayfa henüz Türkçeye çevrilmedi, İngilizcesi gösteriliyor.
The Quick Start window checks the project and the open scene, fixes what it can, and adds Easy Weather to a scene. Open it from Tools > Kaira Digital Arts > Easy Weather. It also opens by itself the first time a new version of the asset is imported.
The window has three sections: Setup Status, Scene Setup and Demo and Documentation. The window menu (the three dots on its tab) has Refresh, Repair Asset References and Reset Window State.
Setup Status
Every row is one check. Red rows stop the system from working. Rows with a fix have a Fix button, and Fix All runs every available fix at once. Press Refresh after you change something by hand.
Project checks
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Universal Render Pipeline active | All shaders and the fog pass are URP only |
| Render Graph enabled | In Compatibility Mode the fog pass is never drawn, silently |
| Volumetric Fog renderer feature | KDAVolumetricFogFeature must sit on the URP renderer. The fix adds it to the default renderer of every URP asset the project uses |
| Depth Texture | The fog fogs each pixel by its own scene depth |
| Opaque Texture | Used by the demo water for refraction |
| Light Cookies | Cloud shadows arrive as a cookie on the sun light. With cookies off the clouds cast nothing and nothing warns. Only raised while a Cloud Module in the scene has cloud shadows on |
| Linear color space | The sky is authored for Linear |
| Input handling (demo only) | Only the demo camera reads input. It works with either input backend |
Scene checks
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Easy Weather in the scene | One EasyWeatherManager drives everything |
| Modules complete | Lists any of the six modules that are missing or unlinked. A missing module simply does nothing at runtime |
| Skybox material | The sky is drawn through Lighting > Environment > Skybox Material |
| Main camera | The sky dome follows Camera.main. Without a MainCamera tag it fails on the first frame of Play |
| No second directional light | Easy Weather owns its sun and moon. Another directional light never matches the sky |
| Built-in fog off | Unity's fog would be applied on top of the Easy Weather fog |
| Lens flare occlusion | Only shown when the scene uses LensFlareSmoothOcclusion: the occlusion renderer feature must be on the URP renderer |
Scene Setup
Position
Where the EasyWeather prefab is placed.
- Pick in Scene: click anywhere in the Scene view. The point snaps to terrain and meshes without needing colliders, and falls back to the ground plane over empty space. Cancel Picking stops it.
- Scene Center: guesses the middle of your terrain, or of everything rendered when there is no terrain.
- Reset: back to the world origin.
Existing directional light
Easy Weather always uses its own sun: that is the light the Time Module rotates and the Celestial Module colors. When the scene already has a directional light you choose what happens to it:
- Disable (default): the light stays in the scene, switched off. Undo and re-enabling both work.
- Delete: removes it. A light object that carries other components or children is only disabled, never deleted.
- Keep: leaves it alone. You then have two directional lights, and yours will not follow the time of day.
For a scene that already has Easy Weather, the same section lists the other light with Disable, Delete and Select buttons.
Add Easy Weather to Scene
Adds the prefab at the chosen position and, in one undo step:
- assigns
KDA_Skyboxas the skybox material, - turns Unity's built-in fog off,
- points the sky dome's camera follower at your main camera,
- runs every module's Auto-Find: light and material references, the sky dome prefab and its instance, and the cloud mesh list. A cloud mesh list you filled by hand is never overwritten.
The button does nothing in Play Mode, in Prefab Mode, or when the scene already has an Easy Weather system.
Complete Setup
When a weather system is in the scene but a module is missing or a reference is empty, Complete Setup fills in what is missing. A module object that is still in the hierarchy is linked again instead of being created twice, so its settings survive. Select in Scene selects the system.
Demo and Documentation
Open Demo Scene opens EasyWeatherDemo. Documentation opens the manual, Support writes an e-mail to support, and Rate the Asset opens the Asset Store page.
